The sweltering summer heat has come and gone. And the typhoon season has taken its place; albeit, flowers of varying shapes, colors, sizes, and scents fortunately still envelope our modest garden. Sans the aid of fertilizers but with Tagaytay’s rich fertile soil and tender loving care, these vivid blooms never fail to make me feel good. In fact, I always “lose” myself when I tend the garden. Losing track of time, I can spend the whole day from morning till sunset planting and pruning. Aside from playing with our fur balls and cooking, gardening for me, is one of the sure fire ways to unwind!
For presentation purposes, I’ve decided to publish the photos in maybe three batches. So expect a couple more.
Since I am practically a novice in the amazing world of horticulture, I can only name a few of these blooms. Perhaps initially, you can help me name them? Your comments are most welcome. Afterwhich I intend to delve into each one as we go along this blog. Deal?
Note: Using my iPhone, these pictures were taken in our garden in a span of three months from June to August; except for those of the Jade Vine and Cattleya which bloom from December till February.
